Top 5 Things I’m Enjoying While in Isolation | T5T

Hey guys, every Tuesday keeps going past and I always forget to post my Top 5 Tuesday post, but now since I have a little bit more time on my hands since we are all stuck in lockdown I though I would get myself more organised and get back into it πŸ˜€ I always love doing these posts so I am glad to be back at it πŸ˜€ If you don’t already know this meme was created by Shanah over at theΒ BionicBookWorm, and each week we get a bookish topic to talk about. This weeks topic isΒ top 5 things I’m enjoying while in isolation. I live in Melbourne Australia and at the moment we are in full lockdown so I never get to leave the house except to go grocery shopping and the government is planning on limiting that too, so I am spending a lot of time at home mostly alone since my mom is a nurse and still goes to work and my sister works in a supermarket so she still gets to go out too. The only positive thing about this pandemic is that I am getting to do more of the things that I enjoy so lets get into it;

Reading (Obviously) πŸ˜€

This one of course is very obvious but I am reading a lot more at the moment which is awesome since it is definitely one of my favourite things to do and is making me feel like I am not really stuck at home since I get to go to lots of places in books πŸ˜€

Cooking/ Baking

I have really been getting into cooking this year and being in lockdown has definitely given me more time to invest into it πŸ˜€ I watch a lot of cooking shows but have never really tried to get into it myself but now since I can’t really get out much I can still travel the world with food right, haha πŸ˜€

I have a high level of OCD I will admit it but I often don’t get the time to reorganise things and set everything up how I want it but just this last weekend I went through a huge rearrange of the house and it just feels so good and so more functional. There is still more to be done but now I have the time to do it so that is something to look forward to.

Self Care

I love skin care and and have a tonne of it at the moment and I am making sure that every day I give myself some down time with a facial, a bath, painting my nails or something like that, I feel like at the moment when I am just stuck in doors all the time I need something to relax me so that I don’t go stir crazy.

This one might be a bit weird but in Australia we are just starting winter and its getting cold and raining everyday almost so being able to stay in and just wear sweatpants all day and be in blankets is just great πŸ˜€ normally I would be talking public transport in the rain and wearing less comfy clothes to look more presentable πŸ˜€

Thank you for reading!

  1. I hope I can organize too. I have a mild OCD but right now, along with my anxiety and stress, it doesn’t seem mild. But I can’t organize because when the lockdown was enforced where I am, I was visiting an aunt. It was night and the lockdown, or community quarantine, is effective at midnight. i had no time to go home so i was stuck here. I can’t organize anything. And they have two toddlers here.

    Stay safe, by the way.

    I’m lucky that I’ve got Hubby and my two teenage daughters home with me during this so I’m not on my own … (am I lucky? … yes) I haven’t been half as productive as everyone else seems to be. My days are spent reading, listening to audiobooks, blogging and being on social media. Kinda perfect. πŸ˜‰
    Stay safe & healthy. x
