K – L – M – N – O | T5T

Hey guys, It’s Tuesday and so time again for another Top 5 Tuesday post. If you don’t already know this meme was created by Shanah over at the BionicBookWorm, and every week we get a bookish topic to talk about. This month our topics are a little different in that the prompts are letters so we just get to talk about our favourite books that start with those letters. This week we have k -l – m – n – o. So lets get into talking about some of my favourite books;

king of fools

King of Fools by Amanda Foody – Review Here

I read this book earlier this year and loved it! I love the setting of New Reynes in was incredibly atmospheric, the magic system was so interesting, there are so many different types of powers that are passed down through generations, some of them are not that useful but others are awesome 😀 The characters are also absolutely awesome and I loved them all.

The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers – Review Here

This is one of my favourite science fiction novels that I have ever read, it is very different from every other one that I have read. The world is huge, there are so many planets, species and cultures and it was so interesting to learn about all of them. This is definitely a character driven novel where we really just follow our characters on their journey and watch all of the growth that they go through. This is a slower novel, and I would recommend it for anyone who loves science fiction.

Matched by Ally Condie

This is a very underrated series in my opinion, I absolutely loved it. I love reading about ‘utopian’ societies because their is always something below the surface that is going on. In this society everything gets chosen for you, where you will work, who you will marry, how many children you will have and in this novel we follow Cassia who begins to question this perfect world when something goes wrong at her matching ceremony.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgernstern – Review Here

This book is incredible!! The world in this book is amazing, and writing was so incredibly atmospheric that the circus just came to life. This is a slower novel as well and is again quite character focused as we follow our main characters over many years and many different experiences. This was just one of the most beautiful books I have ever read in every way 😀

Once and for All by Sarah Dessen – Review Here

I have loved every single Sarah Dessen book that I have read but this is my favouite. In this novel we follow our main characters who run a wedding planning business and I loved that, but the main thing that I loved was our characters, they were just so funny and intelligent and I loved all of the banter that we had been all of our characters 😀

Thank you for reading!

  1. I’ve read Matched! Haha I liked it but I was a bit over-saturated with Utopians and Dystopians so I didn’t love it. But the Night Circus is amazing ❤ Great List!
