Top 5 Fantasy | T5T

It is Tuesday once again and so time for another post 😀 If you don’t already know this meme was created by Shanah over at the BionicBookWorm, and each week we get some awesome bookish topics to talk about. This weeks topic is definitely one that I am going to struggle only picking five books for and that is top 5 fantasy. I absolutely love fantasy and it is my most read genre and if I am being honest I almost exclusively read fantasy books 😀 Picking my top five is going to be hard but I will try my hardest 😀 So here are my top 5 fantasy books;

The A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas

This is a much loved fantasy series and it is definitely one of my favourites. This is full of magic, friendship and a lot of sassyness 😀 The thing that I love the most in this series is the characters, they were all amazing, they all had sad backstories but had all overcome it, and the banter between all of these characters is one of the best I have read 😀 I had a couple of issues with this series, mainly with A Court of Wings and Ruin, I do have a review for A Court of Frost and Starlight if you would like to read that here.

The Shadow and Bone trilogy by Leigh Bardugo

I just recently finished this series and absolutely loved it! I gave all of these books five stars, which I was actually really surprised about since most people say that this series is pretty average and that you just read it to get to the Six of Crows duology but that is not true at all. I loved all of the magic, politics and characters in this series there was nothing that I didn’t like. I could gush about this series forever but I have written reviews for all of these books that will be out soon so if you would like to read them I will put them here; Shadow and Bone Review and

This Savage Song duology by Victoria Schwab

I loved this duology, it was beautiful and brutal and just fills me with so many emotions. I loved this world that was filled with monsters because of the crimes of humans, especially the Sunai because they were so incredibly interesting. The last book was fantastic! I loved the growth from both of our main characters and the plot of this book was so well done, and the ending!! If you have not read this series you really should 😀 I have a review up for the first book if you want to read it here.

The Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire

This is an incredibly imaginiative series about children who go through mysterious doors that lead to other worlds, in this whole series we see those who have come back to the real world and get stuck there and also some of the children while they are in their worlds. I loved all of these books and I am pretty sure that I will love every book that she ever releases in this series. I have reviews up for all of these books I will link them all here; Every Heart A Doorway Review,  Down Among The Sticks And Bones Review, Beneath The Sugar Sky Review and In An Absent Dream Review.

The Witchlands series by Susan Denard

This series is full of elemental magic as well as some really interesting other types of magic, the additional witcheries were definitely the most exciting part of the series and add something that I haven’t seen before. Once again it is the characters and relationships within this series that make this book amazing. I have only read the first two books and the prequel and have not yet read Bloodwitch but that is because I have hyped it up so much in my mind 😀 I need to read it and will get to it soon. I have written reviews for three of the books so if you are interested I will link them here;  Truthwitch Review, Windwitch Review and Sightwitch Review.

Thank you for reading!

    Great post!! The Grisha trilogy is also one great fantasy series! I loved Shadow and Bone but unfortunately it just went downhill from there for me! and This Savage Song has all the aspects of an amazing fantasy novel but for some reason it felt really lukewarm for me?! I dont know… 🙂 I would have included Six of Crows in my list had I not included it in September’s!
