Hey guys, the Buzzword read-a-thon is over and so it is time to wrap up what I read for the week. I actually only finished one book during the read-a-thon but I really tried to read more books with the buzz word in it but I just couldn’t find any with the word ‘you’ that was interesting me. As you will see I tried two other books but couldn’t get into them so kind of gave up 😀 The huge upside for this read-a-thon was that I absolutely loved the book that I read and I wouldn’t have gotten around to it if it hadn’t been for this read-a-thon 😀 So lets get into what I read;
All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover
This was my second time trying to read this book, the first time I tried to read the physical book but which just made it drag for me which is why I put it down so this time I listened to the audiobook and I absolutely loved it. With my first attempt I would have probably given this book maybe one or two stars howerver with my second attempt listing to the book I have given it five stars!! I loved it so much, Colleen Hoover just creates these beautiful relationships that are so realistic in how no relationship is perfect, there are always arguments and times when you think about ending it but even through it all it can be amazing.
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
I started listening to the audiobook for this one but I only listened to the first 20 minutes which was about half of the first chapter. I don’t know what it was but I just couldn’t get into it. I will probably try to actually read this book at some point but the audiobook just didn’t do it for me.
Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
This is another book that I started and didn’t finish, I listened to the first chapter of the audiobook, which was actually an hour long and it didn’t really draw me in. I had heard that this book was really good and was incredibly emotional and I’m sure that it is but for me it was just incredibly slow. I’m pretty sure that I wont finish this book because it just doesn’t seem like something that I will enjoy reading.
Did any of you guys participate in this read-a-thon? And also let me know if you guys have read any of theses books and what you thought of them
Thank you for reading!
