Top 5 Books That Need To Be A Movie | T5T

Hey guys, it is Tuesday and once again we have another Top 5 Tuesday topic. If you don’t already know the top 5 Tuesday meme was created by Shanah over at the BionicBookWorm, and every week we get an awesome bookish topic to discuss. This week our topic isย top 5 books that need to be a movie. This is a harder one for me to pick books for because I usually don’t like adaptations, with the exception of The Hunger Games trilogy which I absolutely loved, but there are definitely some books that I think would make great movies so lets get into it;

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

This is my favourite book from the Illuminae Files series and I think that it would make an excellent movie. As I read this book it really felt as if I was watching a movie because it is told through multimedia format and I think that having all of that in place would translate really well into film. It would also make an awesome science fiction/ thriller, there is so much action and crazy things that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and would be awesome to watch.

Warcross by Marie Lu

I would love to see this book as a movie, all of the virtual reality aspects would be really exciting to see and would be similar to the Ready Player One movie which I actually quite enjoyed. There is also quite a lot of drama and action in this book that I think would be incredibly cinematic ๐Ÿ˜€

haunting violet

Haunting Violet by Alexandra Harvey

This is a book that I read as a teenager and absolutely loved. This book is full of ghosts, fake mediums, and a murder mystery. The murder mystery was definitely my favourite aspect, especially since we get to see through the veil to the murder victim herself. I think that this book could be made into an awesome movie and the 1872 setting would be really cool to see ๐Ÿ™‚

this savage song

This Savage Song by V. E. Schwab

I recently read this book and absolutely loved it and think that it would be an awesome dark and bloody action fantasy movie. The different types of monsters would be really exciting to see and the plot line of this book would be so incredibly exciting because the action never stops!!

one of us is lying

One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus

This was a really exciting murder mystery that constantly kept me guessing and that is definitely what you need in a murder mystery movie. There are so many secrets, drama and action within this book and would be an awesome movie to watch, and also might make a pretty good tv show too.

What are some of your favourite book to movie adaptations? I am always looking for more to watch ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for reading!

  1. I want to cry because Illuminae is everything I’ve ever wanted in a book and it would be the BEST movie, but I don’t think it’ll happen? I’m also disappointed because I’m sure I read that One of Us Is Lying was going to be adapted for Netflix, but nothing has happened in the past year, so that’s probably DOA as well, grr.
