Hey guys, this is the first Top 5 Tuesday of the year and I am really excited to get back into it 😀 I loved all of the topics that we got last year and the topics for January are pretty great too! If you don’t already know the Top 5 Tuesday meme was created by Shanah over at the BionicBookWorm, and each week we get a bookish topic to gush about. This week the topic is top 5 books I need to read in 2019. There are so many books that I want to get to this year so it is going to be hard to pick only five but I am just going to pick some of the ones that I am most excited about. So lets get into the top 5 books I need to read in 2019;
Frostblood by Elly Blake
I have had this book for a long time now and I just received the second and third books in the series for Christmas so now I need to get to them 😀 This is a series full of elemental magic that was apparently inspired by Avatar: the last airbender which is one of my favourite things in the entire world. I am really looking forward to getting to it.
The Diviners by Libba Bray
This is another one that I received the second and third books for, but this time it was for my birthday. I haven’t read anything by Libba Bray yet, I have been putting off reading this series for a long time and I cannot wait to get to it. This is a paranormal mystery set during the 1920’s and it sounds super intriguing 🙂
Flawed by Cecelia Ahern
This is another series that I have been putting off for years and I really need to get to it. One of the reasons that I have been putting it off is because of how similar it is to another book that I have read before, and that is Matched by Ally Condie which I loved. But now I just need to read it and see what I think of it myself.
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I loved the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor and I cannot wait to read more from her. I own both of the books now in this duology and I have heard nothing but amazing things about it and I just need to know why everyone loves it.
Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff
I loved the Illuminae Files series by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman and I have really been wanting to pick up something that he has written on his own, but I just never got around to reading it last year when it came out so now I am really hoping to get to it this year 😀
What are some of the books that you guys need to get to this year?
Thank you for reading!
