October TBR

Hey guys, it is once again time for my monthly TBR and since it is October I thought that I would pick some mystery or thriller books just to fit with the mood of Halloween. I don’t like horror so I don’t have any books of that genre to read but for me thrillers are almost at the same level for me since I am scared of everything. All of the books that I have chosen have mystery aspects and most of them surround a death or murder but are all very different from each other. I am really excited to get to read all of these books and cannot wait to see how I like them. So lets get into the books that I want to this month;

Sadie by Courtney Summers

I have actually already finished this book and I loved it. I actually listened to the audiobook of this one and it was awesome, I really think that the audio was definitely the way to go as it has a full cast and as the main character has a stutter it would have made it  bit more disjointed for me to read. I have never read a book that has these very dark themes, it was so incredibly heartbreaking to read.

Undead Girl Gang

Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson

This is the next audiobook that I have chosen to read, I have been trying to get my hands on a copy of this book for so long but was never able to and when I saw that it was on Scribd it was fate. I started it today but haven’t gotten very far in yet but it does have the same voice actor as Sadie so I am pretty excited for it.

Daughter of the burning city

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody

I loved Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody that I read earlier this year and knew that I need to read some more from her. I am pretty excited to get to this one since the premise is really interesting, I mean a circus where all of the inhabitants are illusions and then one of them is murdered??? it just sounds so exciting and I cannot wait to see what happens.

OtherWorld by Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller

This is a book that I bought at the beginning on the year and just never got around to reading it, but I recently got a review copy of the second book OtherEarth from Netgalley so I need to get on and read the first one so that I can read the second one. After reading and loving the Warcross series by Marie Lu I am really hoping to love this one too as it has similar themes with virtual reality.

OtherEarth by Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller

This is the second book in the OtherWorld series and I received a copy for review through Netgalley, so once I have read the first book I will be getting onto this one. This book gets released on the 30th of October so I hope to get to it before then.

Before I let go

Before I Let Go by Marieke Nijkamp

This is a book that I have been really looking forward to reading. It seems very dark and mysterious as it revolves around a death that no one seems to want to talk about. I am really excited to see what will happen in this book.

Daughter of Deep Silence

Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan

This is a mystery revenge novel that I have been wanting to read for years and I only recently got my copy so now I can read it. I don’t want to know too much about the plot before going into this book just to leave more of it a mystery for myself.

What books are you guys planning on reading this month? also do you guys theme your TBRs to the holidays?

Thank you for reading!

  1. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed Sadie! I’ve been meaning to pick it up soon since I’ve only heard so many great things about it. Hope you love the rest of your reads this month! 🙂
