Hey guys, it’s Tuesday and so time for another Top 5 Tuesday post. I am pretty interested in seeing some of the posts for this topic since I actually find almost all of my books through blogs or Youtube, and I always wonder how other people find them. I love watching other people talk about books especially when they love them and it always makes me want to read them too. If you didn’t already know the top 5 tuesday meme was created by Shanah at the BionicBookworm and each week we get a bookish topic to talk about. This weeks topic is top 5 books I’ve read because of blogs/Youtube. So lets talk about some books;
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
I thought that this would be an appropriate one to start with since I actually first heard about this book on Shanah’s blog in one of her introduction to science fiction posts when I was really looking for more books to read from that genre and the way that she raved about it made me really want to read it. I am really glad that I read it as well, I gave it five stars and I absolutely loved it.
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Krisoff
This was a book that was given away in the hundreds at BookCon a couple of years ago and it seemed like every Booktuber had gotten a copy and then everyone had loved it. Before reading it I was a bit sceptical about the format of the book and I actually didn’t read it until Gemina was already out and everyone was loving that one too. I should have read it so much sooner, this is one of my all time favourite books and I probably wouldn’t have read it if I hadn’t seen so many good reviews for it.
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
When this book came out I saw so many people reading and loving it. I had heard of Neal Shusterman before that but had never been that interested in his books but this one seemed to be amazing. I absolutely loved this book and cant believe that I would have missed out on it if I hadn’t seen the reviews.
Truthwicth by Susan Denard
This is another book that just seemed to get rave reviews, I had heard of it and read the synopsis but it really does not do the book justice. I actually didn’t think that I would like the book because I didn’t really get the idea of truthwitches and threadwitches, I honestly thought that they would be pretty boring witcheries but this book was amazing and it actually has one of my favourite magic systems.
Saga by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples
This one is technically a graphic novel but I first heard about it from Booktubers, this seems to be one of the series that people who read novels also read and is so universally loved. I absolutely love this series and it is one of my favourite graphic novels of all time. This was also the series that got me into comics and I am so glad that I came across it.
Thank you for reading!

So many hyped books! I’ve always heard people raving about various kinds of graphic novels in Youtube and the internet in general, but I never had the urge to read them.
