Summer Biannual Bibliothon TBR

Hey guys, the Summer Biannual Bibliothon is starting soon and I am so incredibly excited for it. One of my goals for the year was to properly participate in read-a-thons so I am hoping to get a lot of reading done over the next week. If you guys didn’t know the Biannual Bibliothon starts on the 14th of July and goes until the 20th, and there are seven reading challenges that you pick a book to fulfil, you can double up books on the challenges if you like (read one book that fits two challenges) which I will definitely be doing since I am not going to be able to read seven books in a week, I will be happy to get to two or three. Even though I definitely wont get to all of the books on this TRB I am still picking a book for each challenge just to give myself a bit more choice during the week. I have also done this TBR in video form if you are interested in watching it, I will leave a link here. Anyway lets get on to what books I picked;

Read The Group Book

35297394

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw

For this one the hosts pick the book. Unfortunately I wont be reading the group book and this is just because I don’t own the book and wont be able to get my hands on a copy for the read-a-thon. But if by some miracle I find it in one of my local bookstores then I will be buying and reading it because it sounds really good.

Choose A Book From Someone Else’s TBR

20578940

The Iron Trial by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare

This book is chosen from my sisters TBR and is actually a re-read for her. I own the first four books but haven’t gotten around to reading them just because this series is set out to be six or seven books long and I hate waiting so long to finish a series but I have decided that I am going to just start it now.

Try The First Chapter From Three Books And Pick One

One Small Thing by Erin Watt, Save the Date by Morgan Matson, & Once and for All by Sarah Dessen

I decided to choose all contemporaries for this challenge and I really think that this will help me get back into the genre. I think that by reading the first chapter of each I will find out which one I am more interested in and still hopefully be excited to read the rest once the read-a-thon is over.

Read A Book That Has Been On Your TBR For Over A Year

The Martian by Andy Weir

I have had this book on my shelf for a very long time. I recently read Artemis which I absolutely loved and so decided that I needed to get to this book as well. I have heard from quite a few people that they liked the Martian more than Artemis but honestly I cant imagine feeling the same way since I absolutely loved it but I have very high hopes for this book and this read-a-thon just gave the a great opportunity to finally read it.

Read A Predicted Five Star Read

LIFEL1K3-770x1173

Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff

This is a pretty ambitious pick since the book is over 400 pages but it is the one that just first comes to mind when I think of the books that I am pretty sure are going to be five star reads. I don’t know if I will end up getting to this one just because it is longer and may be harder to get through but we will see. I absolutely love Jay Kristoff’s books and cannot wait to get to this one whenever I can.

Read An Own Voices Book

9781406372151

The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas

This is a book that I have been meaning to read for years and now I have a challenge for it to fit into. I have been putting this book off just because it covers a heavier topic but really I just need to get to it because I am pretty sure that I am going to love it. This book is also over 450 pages long so I don’t know if I will get to it but I hope I do.

Read The Last Book You Bought

9781408353622

Everless by Sara Holland

This is technically the last book that I bought and have right now. I did make a bookoutlet purchase about a week ago but those books are going to take quite some time to get here so this is the lucky book. I have heard some mixed reviews about this book but the idea of it really reminds me of the movie In Time and I love that movie so I am hoping to really enjoy the book.

Let me know if you guys are participating the the read-a-thon and if so what books you are planning on reading 😀

Thank you for reading!
