Weekly Wrap Up 25 Jun-1 Jul

Hey guys, it is Monday and so time for another weekly wrap up. I have kind of been a bit behind with my posts lately especially my reviews so I am sorry for the seeming bombardment of posts lately but hopefully I will be back on track soon. I once again didn’t read as much as I had hoped to and I am really hoping to kick myself back into gear for this month. I finished one book which is better than nothing 🙂 so lets get into what I read;

What I Read This Week

Unwind by Neal Shusterman

I gave this book four stars and did enjoy it but not as much as the other books that I have read by Neal Shusterman unfortunately. I love reading about Neal Shusterman’s societies because they are always really inventive and in this case pretty creepy, I mean imagine having your parents choose to unwind you and give all your body parts to other people and then to know that you will still have some kind of awareness about it all after you are a part of somebody else! I really enjoyed our three main characters they gave us a broad range of perspectives and ideas about the society and I enjoyed seeing them all. I am planning on writing my full review for this very soon so when that is up I will put a link here.

What I Am Currently Reading

The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

I am about 150 pages into this book and I am absolutely loving it so far! I will say that I am finding it a little harder to read though and that is just because of all of the different types of aliens and the planets and wars. Sometimes I am having to go back and remember what each race looks like or what their culture is like, but really that is one of my favourite aspects. I have never read a book that has so many elaborate and different kinds of alien in it, they are all really interesting. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this book and the rest of the series although I can see these books taking me a bit longer to get though but I think that it will be worth it in the end 😀

What did you guys read this week? and let me know if you have read any of these books and what you thought of them 😀

Thank you for reading!
