It’s Tuesday again and I am so excited for this months topics for Top 5 Tuesday 😀 If you guys didn’t know already the Top 5 Tuesday meme was created by Shanah at Bionicbookworm, and we get some really cool bookish topics to talk about each week. This weeks topic is top 5 covers with red, orange and yellow, I am really looking forward to seeing some of the answers for this week since we have the option to talk about so many different books. With other topics they usually have some kind of common or related theme but with this one we will get so many different answers of books that just have one or more of these colours on the cover and that is awesome. So lets get onto my top 5 covers with red, orange and yellow;
Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody
This is one of my new all time favourite reads and I cannot stop obsessing about it. This book was absolutely fantastic, the ambience of the setting and enthralling plot just made for an amazing read. If you guys are interested in my full thoughts on this book then you can find it here. I actually don’t have a physical copy of this book yet because I read it from an e-book that I received for review from Netgalley, but I will be picking up a copy (or maybe multiple copies) when I next see it.
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
This is another one of my favourite books and I think that this cover really shows you what type of book you are getting into; action, explosions, and classified information. The hardcovers if you have seen them are even more beautiful. This book is as exciting as its cover and one that I highly recommend to others, the format is what really makes this book amazing for me, this way of telling the story gives such as great experience.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
All of the covers in this series are beautiful and are actually pretty similar as they all feature Fayre. This is a fantastic series that has magic, fae and so many court politics especially within this first novel. This cover to me just shows all of the elegance and intrigue that is involved in this series as well as some of the sexiness that definitely goes on.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
This is one of my favourite book covers in general, and this is really just because of the scene that it shows from the book. I absolutely love when books accurately show what the book is about of have some hidden meaning that you only realise once you have read the book and this one does that for me This series has quite a few different covers but I think that these editions just show so much more of what the book is about.
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas
Similar to Sarah J Maas’ other series these books all feature Celaena but she is always depicted in different fighting stances which are awesome. Also all of the backs of the books also feature Celaena in some kind of beautiful formal dress, they are stunning. With this series you can either get the editions with colour or in mainly white and I have some of each by accident but I do really enjoy the ones that are in full of colour.
Thank you for reading!
