This month I have a lot of books that I plan to read, I may not get through all of them but I am really hoping that I will. I do have quite a few review books from Netgalley that I would also like to get to this month since some of them come out soon and some of them are already out and I really need to read them. So lets get on with the books;
The next books I received for review from Netgalley;
The Diminished by Kaitlyn Sage Patterson
This book was published on the 19th March. The idea of this book is really interesting, almost everyone in this world is born with a twin and if they lose their other half and survive the loss they become diminished. Those who are single born are given the right to rule by the gods and goddesses. This world seems really intriguing and I really want to know how this world works.
The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross
This book was published on the 8th of March. I have already started this book and I am really enjoying it so far. I am loving the setting for this book, it just gives another level to the story I think. The synopsis is what really drew me in, the passions and the mystery that seems to surround Brienna is all really exciting. I cannot wait to see what will happen next.
The Smoke Thieves by Sally Green
This book was published on the 3rd of March. I haven’t read anything from Sally Green yet but I am looking forward to it. This sounds like a really exciting high fantasy book, there is magic, demons and wars between the four nations. From the synopsis it seem as if we will get a perspective from one person in each nation and they all sound really exciting and I cannot wait to see what will happen.
Song of Blood and Stone by L. Penelope
This book was published on the 1st of May. This is another book full of magic and a war between two nations. This book seems like a pretty full on epic fantasy as we follow our main characters as they try to end the war between their two nations.
Ruthless Magic by Megan Crewe
This book was published on the 30th of May. This book is full of magic and I am so excited for it. In this novel the magic novice have to compete in a contest in order to keep their magic. I really enjoy the idea of challenges of magic and intelligence and I always enjoy seeing what the authors come up with.
One Small Thing by Erin Watt
This book comes out on the 18th of June and I am actually really excited to read it. I don’t often pick up contemporaries but it was one of my bookish resolutions this year to read more from this genre so here we are. This book sounds really interesting and has a mystery element surrounding Beth’s sister death which I think will add a lot more interest to the story for me. I cannot wait to get to it.
The next books are ones that I bought for myself;
Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman
I have been waiting to read this book since I finished Scythe and needed to see what would happen next. I finally have a copy and so will be starting it as soon as I can. I really don’t know what to expect with this novel and I am not going to read the synopsis because I would much rather be surprised by it all. I can’t wait to get back into this world and see all of my favourite characters again 😀
Soundless by Richelle Mead
I love Richelle Mead’s books but this is one that I have always had mixed feelings about. I have seen quite a few negative reviews about it and people saying that nothing really happens in the whole novel. But it is quite a short book and also a standalone so I am going to try it out for myself and see what I think of it.
Unwind by Neal Shusterman
I heard about this series a couple of years ago and thought that it sounded really interesting but also kind of creepy so I put off reading it for awhile. But then I read Scythe by Neal Shusterman and absolutely loved it and so decided that it was about time that I get to this series. I am really hoping that I enjoy it but we will have to see.
What books are you guys planning to read this month?
Thank you for reading!
