Weekly Wrap Up 23-29 Apr

This week I technically only finished graphic novels but I absolutely loved them so I am still happy with that. I honestly have no excuse this week for not reading very much, I really just need to dedicate some hours of the day to only reading instead of watching tv or playing the sims (which is what I just did for the entire day, you just get sucked into it and cannot stop!). Anyway lets get onto what I did end up reading this week;

What I Read This Week

Fables, Volume 5: The Mean Seasons by Bill Willingham, Mark Buckingham, and Steve Leialoha

This series is getting better and better with every volume and I absolutely loved this one and gave it fives stars just like the rest. In this volume we really get to see Snow and all of her kids including one secret which I did not see coming but was so well done. We also see that now that Snow and Bigby are gone that they were really vital to Fabletown and now it is basically falling apart. We really didn’t see very much of Bigby in this volume and since he is one of my favourite characters I am really hoping that he comes back in a bigger role for the next volume.

Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall by Bill Willingham, Esao Andrews, and John Bolton

In this short story is a semi-retelling of One Thousand and One Nights where we follow Snow as she travels to Arabia as an ambassador for Fabletown. In this book we get to see so many of the backstories of fables that we know and some that we don’t but they are all really interesting and really add something to the overall Fables series. I gave this book five stars, I absolutely loved this book as we get to know a lot more about our characters and it makes you see these characters in a new light.

What I Am Currently Reading

Scythe by Neal Shusterman

I read around 100 pages of this book so I am over half way through and I am so excited to see what will happen next. It has definitely taken a turn that I did not expect but I am really enjoying it. It is taking me a little while to read but that is only because I haven’t been giving myself any dedicated reading time which I am planning to do this week so I hopefully should finish this book soon.

Fables, Volume 6: Homelands by Bill Willingham, Mark Buckingham, and David Hahn

I haven’t technically started this book yet but I am planning on starting it today since I cannot wait to see what is going to happen next 😀

Thank you for reading!
