Weekly Wrap Up 16-22 Apr

So this week was pretty great, I went to Melbourne Supa Nova on Saturday and we went and saw the panels of Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie and John Barrowman. I haven’t said before on my blog but I am a huge Doctor Who fan!! so this was amazing and if you guys haven’t heard of John Barrowman he is extremely funny and I would really recommend watching some of his panels. I also had an excellent week reading-wise and read some awesome books that I am really excited to talk about, so without further ado lets talk about what I read this week;

What I Read This Week

Artemis by Andy Weir

I absolutely loved this book and ended up giving it five stars. The story line was really interesting and well thought out. The scientific aspects were definitely my favourite part and really gave a lot of interest and realism to the story. The characters were also really fun to read about, all of them were unique and interesting as well as being extremely funny and their interactions were awesome and had be laughing out loud at times. This book is definitely one of my favourite reads for the year and maybe of all time! I would definitely recommend this book 100%. I have written a full spoiler free review if you are interested in reading it here.

What I Am Currently Reading

Scythe by Neal Shusterman

I have been wanting to read this book for the longest time. The synopsis just really appeals to me, I mean it’s set in a world where we have found a way to live forever and so now the population has to be controlled by the scythes! I am really enjoying it so far and cannot wait to continue and see what happens next. I am also in the process of trying to find a paperback copy of the second book (which is still on pre-order on bookdepository) so that I can read the next book straight away 😀

Fables, Volume 5: The Mean Seasons by Bill Willingham, Mark Buckingham, and Steve Leialoha

If you have seen my last couple of wrap ups then you will know that I am loving this graphic novel series. I am really enjoying the plot of this novel so far and I am planning to finish reading it within the next few days since when I read these comics I can never put them down! haha.

So that is all for this week. I am pretty sure that this week is going to be as good as the last one if not even better so I am really looking forward to it. Let me know what you guys read this week or if you have read any of these books 😀

Thank you for reading
