Weekly Wrap Up 19-25 Mar

This week I did quite a bit of reading which I am pretty happy with and I also ended up reading some excellent books this week too!! I actually dedicated a whole lot of time for me to just read which is something that I really want to do more of, I love to read so just dedicating some time to reading really lifts up my whole week and I am really hoping that I continue to do that for the rest of the year. I also always have a problem with starting books, it usually takes me quite a while to really get into a book and while I’m getting into it I don’t read as often, which then lessens my reading because I just don’t have the motivation to drive me to read. So lets hope for another good reading week next week. Anyway so this is what I read this week;

What I Read This Week

Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

This book may very well be my favourite book of the year which I honestly saw coming because I absolutely love the Illuminae Files series. I gave this book five stars and I loved every second of it. It was an amazing end to the series and had so many plot twists some of which I didn’t see coming which I really enjoyed. I loved seeing all of my favourite characters again and honestly I am going to miss hearing more of their stories since Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff don’t plan on writing any more books from this world but I am happy with all of their endings. I am really hoping that they continue to write books in this format because that is one of my favourite aspects of their books. If anyone is interested in reading my full review you can do so here, but just so you know it does include spoilers.

Fables, Volume 3: Storybook Love by Bill Willingham, Mark Buckingham, and Steve Leialoha

Once again I absolutely loved this volume it was fantastic and I gave it five stars. I think this may be my favourite volume yet. I really enjoyed a lot of the story arcs that are happening in this volume, especially the relationship that is growing between Bigby and Snow. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series.

Fables, Volume 4: March of the Wooden Soldiers by Bill Willingham, Mark Buckingham, and Craig Hamilton

I am enjoying this so far and I am about 100 pages in. I am really hoping that I get to see some more of Snow and Bigby together. I will probably be finishing this book soon since I am really into this world right now. I don’t own the rest of the series but I am planning on picking it up from the library when I can and continuing on with it 🙂

Scales of Empire by Kylie Chan

I am still slowly making my way through this book and did end up reading some of it this week but I still have around 200 pages left. I am hoping that next week I will get to finish it off, fingers crossed.

Unearthed by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

I picked this one up after finishing Obsidio since I really just needed to read something else by those authors since I absolutely love their books. I actually put down the Goosegirl by Shannon Hale in order to pick this up since I honestly just want to read this one more. I am really enjoying this book far and I am about 80 pages in and I am planning to read quite a lot of it soon since I am really enjoying it and I am pretty hooked.

Thank you for reading
