Me In Book Characters Tag

So I had never heard about this book tag until I was tagged for it by Lifeandotherdisasters thanks for the tag and I am definitely up for a challenge 🙂 I don’t often relate to characters when reading which may be because I read a lot of fantasy books where there are kick ass female leads and unfortunately I am not that cool (or athletic, haha). This tag was actually pretty fun to do though as I got to think back about books and characters that I hadn’t thought of in a while. So here are my picks;

Rules
  1. Thank the creators of the tag (Ash & Lo @Windowsillbooks
  2. Thank whoever tagged you!
  3. List 5 book characters who you are most like and explain why
  4. Tag your friends

Scarlet Benoit from the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

Scarlet is very stubborn, loud, and jumps into things without thinking, and I am very much like that. I feel like in YA there are actually a lot of characters that are stubborn, it seems to be one of the main traits chosen for protagonists as it adds to the story line. The traits may not be the best but I do own up to having them 🙂

Zuzana Novakova from The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Series by Laini Taylor

Zuzana is described as a rabid fairy with a voodoo stare, she enjoys really quirky things such as the poison kitchen where the decorations are gas masks and weird statues and she is extremely loyal to her friends. I definitely have a kind of RBF sometimes and I don’t realise that I am doing it, but I also have a great death stare for when my family is really annoying haha. I’m also into all things quirky and different as well as being very loyal to my friends.

Sydney Sage from The Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead

Bloodlines_Novel

Sydney is always kind of socially awkward which is definitely me, she is also a very organised person which I really relate to, I always have to have everything in their place and if the house is messy I always feel uneasy until it is all organised again. Sydney is also a very studious person and loves to learn, I just finished my university degree but I definitely was not as dedicated as Sydney lol.

Liz Hall from Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin

This was one of my favourite books when I was a teenager and I really related to her as she was another angsty teen who didn’t want to follow the rules or do what adults told her too, luckily I grew out of that haha. But she also has a love of animals and her family which transfers into her afterlife which I definitely relate to. I have a cat and dog at the moment, but I have had mice and fish before and I would love to get more pets 🙂

Celaena/Aline from The Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J Maas

The first book is where I relate to Celaena the most, she has a passion for both reading and collecting books as well as playing to and listening to music. It may be a little obvious by my blog but I love to read and collect books but I also play the guitar and I’m learning to play the piano, I also love to go to symphonies just as Celaena does. In the first book she does a lot of shopping and buys pretty things which I also relate to even though it is something I should really work on 🙂

So these are the characters that I relate to in one way or another. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this list and maybe learned a little bit more about me from these characters 🙂

  1. YAY! I am so glad you enjoyed doing this tag and I really liked the characters you picked. I have a hard time relating to all those kick-ass female characters as well sometimes, but you picked some real badasses here as well and found the traits that fit you. That’s awesome! 😀
